Singles Awareness with Cookie

Game by thetageist-archive

Since I missed February 15, this was supposed to come out on March 11, the UK’s National Singles Day, but I got sick and that held me back by a few days. My apologies.

After Valentine’s Day, I really wanted to make a Valentine’s themed Meiker game for single people - with only one character, a focus on self-love, and a spotlight for people on the asexual and aromantic spectra. So I enlisted the help of my pal M-kirbs and we came up with a character to embody our mission. Meet Cookie, your kindhearted friend who knows she’s somewhere on the ace and aro spectra, but is still finding out where exactly she might be. You can help her try on different labels and see if she feels they fit her!

Backgrounds are modified images from Pixabay. My favorites are the Pride flag glitter ones, those were fun to make!

Aro and Ace symbols used in the game:

- Common aro and ace spectrum flags using asexuals.com as a reference

- Aces of cards and arrows - visual puns accepted by their respective communities. The ace of spades is used by the community to represent aroace people, whereas the ace of hearts represents alloromantic ace people.

- Yellow roses - Yellow flowers are a symbol of friendship or platonic love in the old-fashioned language of flowers.

- Black and white rings - used as an indicator of ace and aro orientation respectively.

Characters and celebrities referenced are just part of M-kirbs’ interests and are not necessarily part of the asexual and aromantic communities.

Rules:

Please don't use my games to make a point. Diverse characters are welcome, but I draw the line at directly or allegorically referring to real-world debate topics and ideologies. Thank you for respecting me.

Please use this game with care and not as a means to harass people in any capacity, including in the contexts of parody, criticism, and activism/calling people out in general.

Give credit to my account and M-kirbs from Newgrounds if you post images from this game outside of Meiker. You can use these to help you design things for commercial projects, but don’t sell or claim the images or designs that are straight from the game. Also, remember to follow the rules of the sites you post the images on!

Editing the image in an external program is fine, but the creation and use of the edited images must still follow these rules. To be clear, you may take credit for the edits you made, but I still count the edited image as partially belonging to myself and M-Kirbs because it was made in our game, with our art.

Thank you for showing respect towards me by reading and following the rules!
