I'm Not a Doll - Meiker Edition

CW: Monster features/mild body horror?

Promotional Meiker for the first game I've finished in years: "I'm Not A Doll", an experimental, slightly horror-themed dress-up game about conformity and otherness, made for a Halloween dress-up game jam I launched. I used a few Procreate documents to make the graphics of the game, so it was really easy to make a functional PSD out of the one with the clothing options!

In your dreams, you meet Maron (she/they/it), a sleep paralysis demon who wants to make friends with humans. It's up to you to help her find an outfit that suits her, but be sure to listen to their feedback! Forcing your own preferences on your supernatural friend could have dire consequences.

The game itself is up on Newgrounds (under my profile, thetageist.newgrounds.com) and has received what I think are way too many awards for the unpolished state it's in ^_^' Here, you can play with the same clothing pieces as in the game, but in a Meiker format! Because there isn't a good way to replicate the game's category system, the facial expression isn't able to change. Think of it like dressing up a mannequin shaped like this being!

(If you’re wondering about the underwear here that isn’t in the actual game: Maron has nothing to cover up. Her body is made of a semi-solid black ooze stuff. I just drew it on anyway to comply with Meiker rules, since them being nude as just a technicality still counts.)

More clothing options will be added here if I get around to adding more to the game too, as per some reviewers' requests!

Give credit to my account if you post images from this game outside of Meiker. You can use these to help you design things for commercial projects, but don’t sell or claim the images or designs that are straight from the game (unless you actually made one of the clothing pieces I may have unintentionally referenced here). Also, remember to follow the rules of the sites you post the images on!

Editing the image in an external program is fine, but the creation and use of the edited images must still follow these rules. To be clear, you may take credit for the edits you made, but I still count the edited image as partially belonging to myself because it was made in my game, with my art.
