This vintage paper doll set, originally published by Whitman in 1980, is one of the most unique I've ever seen. Science fiction was a pretty uncommon theme, and I love seeing dated, retro depictions of the future. By the 80s, paper dolls were waning in popularity, and I imagine these were meant to capitalize on the popularity of Star Wars (even if Pluta is giving more Space Balls vibes lol).
Star Princess and Pluta were featured in several activity and colouring books, including at least one other paper doll set. Their backstory, as revealed in a colouring book, starts with Star Princess as a regular Earth girl and Pluta as her pony. While out on a ride, they meet an alien who transforms them into Star Princess and her cyborg companion, leading to adventures across space and time, before revealing everything was a dream.
The first two backgrounds are taken from the other set of Star Princess paper dolls, and the rest, as always, are Creative Commons licensed. The original set has Star Princess trapped in those yellow and red boots for most of her outfits, so I did my best to recolour them to match the clothes. Use the White colour option for Star Princess to hide her arms, since many outfits featured white gaps that weren't meant to be cut out.
