Ariel (revenge)

Ariel kills the sea witch and gets her voice back and then disappears. It is said that her melancholy voice can be heard singing of the sea witches death at the castle courtyard and by the shore at 2:00 a.m. every night. The prince had nightmares of her killing the witch for the rest of his life, and made it a law of the kingdom that any contact of mermaids was strictly forbidden.
