The Alternate

The Alternate is an entity who personifies intrusive thoughts. The fears we have about ourselves. They have no race or gender, only the everlasting presence or self doubt, shame, and dread. Since people don't act on intrusive thoughts, they don't feed on harmful actions - only on the anxiety of those who fear one day acting on harmful actions. Causing irrational self hatred/fear is their entire purpose. No real personality outside of their function.
