Journal of Alexander Hunter (14-08-1896)
All it took was a moment whilst my eyes were averted for It to come. May had gone into the ring, as I instructed. By the time my gaze was pulled back, It towered over her, staring at me with Its black, mocking eyes. I ran after It of course, calling May's name... I do not know how long I ran before I stumbled back into my parent's back garden.
The police were called. They were quick to cry murder, but my mother dissuaded them.
I never meant to leave her. I suppose it was a learning experience.
